A distinctive aspect of the impressive work completed since 1980 by the Friends of the Mojave Road and the Mojave Desert Heritage & Cultural Association is that it has all been done by individuals -- to date we have not received one nickel of government money. Ordinary people having sufficient confidence in the goals being pursued, come forward and donate resources and time in pursuit of these goals. It is kind of like America used to be. We need help of all kinds ranging from support of our publications program to physical assistance in developing and maintaining the improvements on the 73 acres making up the Goffs Historic Cultural Center.
